The next year we went back on our own and enjoyed it so much we decided to invite our children and their families. After about 6 years, I thought the kids and grandkids might want a change of scenery for our annual get-together so I asked if they would like to try something else. There response "Did we do something wrong" said it all. We continue to gather from Texas, Maryland, Virginia, California, and England to spend quality time in a beautiful location with lovely well stocked and perfectly maintained cabins. This year we will be adding a forth generation and plan to keep coming for many years. There is plenty to do in the area. My husband is an avid bicyclist and loves the mountain roads. Most of us have hike the entire Georgia portion of the Appalachian Trail. We water raft, zip-line, swim at the state park, paddle boat, pan for gold, and rock on the front porch. We shop in Helen and Dahlonega, visited The Cabbage Patch Doll Hospital in Cleveland, and enjoy the weekend music and crafts on the square in Dahlonega.
